InLife’s Amorsolo Circle forum centers on market updates, Feng Shui
To usher in success and harmony this 2024, InLife Amorsolo Circle spearheaded a forum on Global Market Update and Feng Shui insights for its valued policyholders.
Entitled “Emerging Perspectives: Shaping a Prosperous 2024 and Beyond,” the forum answered questions about trends in the global markets and the economy, and basic principles of Feng Shui.
Will 2024 be a good year for markets and the economy?
Anis Tiasiri, Executive Director, Southeast Asia Funds, JP Morgan Asset Management said while a lot can happen in the global economy, particularly in the US, which could affect one’s investment journey, 2024 will be a positive year in general. "While aggressive interest rate hikes in 2022 caused drawdowns, the projected rate cuts that could happen in the second half of 2024 presents opportunities to both stock investors and bondholders,” he said. Tiasiri also summed up his forecast using the numbers in the current year: 2% gross domestic product (GDP) growth, 0% chances of recession, 2% inflation, and 4% unemployment in the US.
What does the Year of the Wood Dragon mean for individuals?
Feng Shui Expert Patrick Lim Fernandez of The Yin and Yang Shop of Harmony pointed out that the wood dragon symbolizes strength and power. In this context, he said people should maximize and establish their strengths, take part in growth, and be generous and sympathetic to others. He also underscored the need to find compromises or common ground whether in the home or in office, and to prepare for possible earth-related calamities.
